Training is an important component of the Safety Codes system and the construction industry. The experienced staff at Marex Canada offer specialized training in Code updates, Hazardous Locations Area Classification, and Safety Codes Quality/Regulatory Management systems. MAREX will also develop custom training packages to meet your specific needs.
Available Courses
This course contains 6 modules with an approximate runtime of 4 hours 20 minutes. After completing this course participants will have an understanding of:
- The various types of system grounding,
- Section 0, 10, and 36 definitions and special terminology,
- Solidly grounded, Impedance grounded, and ungrounded systems,
- Bonding general requirements, electrical equipment, and non-electrical equipment, and
- Supplementary or amendatory sections of the Code as related to grounding and bonding.
This course is to update Code users on the changes to the Canadian Electrical Code (CE Code), Part I published in the 2021 Edition of the CE Code. After completing this course participants will have a better understanding of:
- The local legislation and corresponding electrical related regulations,
- How the Canadian Electrical Code is structured and how changes are made and implemented,
- The changes and updates for the 2021 Canadian Electrical Code as it applies to the various sections within the Code and the rationale for those changes, and
- The interpretation or application of select Rules of the CE Code
Maximum of 200 participants per course date. Participants will be notified of course cancelations or of changed course dates due to lack of interest. Presentation of the course will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and will begin at 8:30 AM the day of the course. Duration will be approximately 6.5 hours with breaks throughout the day.
